Hudson Sandler, one of London’s leading independent strategic communications agencies, is pleased to announce its appointment by Safestay PLC, the pan-European premium hostel business listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Founded in 2012 and floated on the LSE’s Alternative Investment Market in 2014, Safestay is one of Europe’s largest hostel groups. Its 20 premium hostels offer guests both private and shared rooms across destination cities within the UK, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Slovakia.
Safestay operates at the forefront of the exciting global hostel market and is well-positioned to capitalise on the sector’s accelerated growth. The company recently announced the acquisition of a freehold hotel property in Brighton and a hotel in central Cordoba, Spain, with the intention of converting these into a 220-bed hostel and 100-bed hostel respectively, as well as the signing of its first management contract for a 120-bed hostel on Spain’s Costa Blanca.
The team at Hudson Sandler is led by Partner Alex Brennan and Associate Partner Lucy Wollam.
The appointment is another addition to Hudson Sandler’s growing Consumer Industries practice, which works with exciting hospitality, leisure, retail, and e-commerce brands including the likes of Greggs, Alibaba.com and evoke. Safestay’s appointment builds on Hudson Sandler’s long-term presence in the hospitality sector, which includes PPHE Hotel Group and Village Hotels Group.
Alex Brennan, Partner, Consumer Industries, Hudson Sandler said: “The hostel sector is hugely exciting at the moment, with more and more cross-generational consumers seeking out trusted, exceptional value accommodation in iconic travel locations. With its thoughtfully designed sites that offer rooms for all kinds of travellers, Safestay has an exceptionally exciting growth story to tell.”
